Olga and Fabrizio are a beautiful Greek-Italian couple living in Italy who decided to have a destination wedding in Santorini and get married with a Greek Orthodox wedding in Panagia Platsani church in Oia. I first met them last winter during their visit to Santorini to scout for possible locations for their destination wedding in Greece. Santorini was of course among their top options and I’m very happy that they decided to have the wedding in Santorini after all!
I had the pleasure to be with the couple since the rehearsal dinner, which took place at Ammoudi Bay in Oia one day before the wedding. The dinner was held at Katina tavern with traditional Greek dishes, fresh fish and a genuine Greek character. The live Greek music and the traditional dancers created an atmosphere full of zest and enthusiasm and the party lasted till very late. At this point I’d like to make a special mention of Fabrizio’s dancing skills, who despite being Italian had an excellent performance at traditional Greek dances.
On the wedding day the couple’s preparation took place at Aenaon Villas and afterwards Olga, accompanied by traditional musicians, met Fabrizio at the church Panagia Platsani in Oia, where their orthodox wedding ceremony was conducted. The reception party also took place at Aenaon Villas and the all the guests had a wonderful time!
The next day I met the couple for some photos around the island. Both the bride and the groom didn’t want to have the typical Santorini wedding photos in Oia and the other popular locations. For that reason I decided to take them to a place that is among the least known and even less photographed on the island.
Olga and Fabrizio’s wedding was an unforgettable three-day wedding experience and I’d like to thank the newlyweds for making me a part of it!
