LADAN & AREYO

MYKONOS, GREECE

Planning a wedding in Mykonos? Ladan and Areyo's wedding at the Royal Myconian was a luxurious destination affair to be inspired by.
Mykonos has always been eliciting all sorts of magnetism and fascination from me ever since I visited the island for the first time at a really young age and before even considering becoming a Mykonos wedding photographer. The main town is a picturesque maze of narrow streets and stunning Cycladic architecture with charming whitewashed buildings, many of which nowadays house boutiques and shops of some of the best-known fashion brands worldwide as well as stylish restaurants and bars. Often viewed as the typical must-visit destination when someone comes to Greece and although I have found quite often popular travel destinations to be rather overrated, the emergence of Mykonos as one of the most cosmopolitan Greek islands is certainly justified. And if the idea of a wedding in Mykonos is playing with your heartstrings, the island has a chic and elegant character, which along with the ravishing surroundings and the wonderful light, constitute a dream wedding location.
Ladan and Areyo are one of those couples, who fell for the allure of the island and decided to travel for the unique experience of a destination wedding in Mykonos. The couple lives in San Diego, United States, but they both share a common Iranian origin. They had never been to Greece prior to the wedding, but it has been on their bucket list for a long time. When they started considering possible wedding destinations, they both said “Greece” at the same time and of course, they couldn’t have chosen a different location after that!
The bride’s and groom’s preparations took place at the Royal Myconian Resort, where the ceremony and reception also took place. White elegance was the theme of the wedding, whose styling and floral design was taken care to the last detail by the creative team of Studio 7. As the sun fell down, the party started and an amazing day came to an end.
