Weddings are beautiful, memorable experiences you share with your family and friends but they can also be stressful and time consuming to plan. By choosing to elope, not only you can leave these worries behind but also add a sense of adventure to your special day. There are many wonderful locations around the world where you can exchange vows of eternal love, but Santorini is certainly one of the most sought after destination wedding locations. It’s the combination of extraordinary architecture, the most breathtaking sea views and world-renowned sunsets that makes this fascinating island unique in the world. A Santorini elopement in particular is a wonderful way to combine a wedding and a honeymoon and an amazing opportunity for any Santorini wedding photographer like me, to have plenty of private time with their couple to roam the most picturesque locations.
Jessica and Matthew are a lovely couple whose dream wedding was not a big celebration, but a special, romantic and intimate affair.
So, a Santorini elopement in a villa, which would be their Santorini wedding venue, seemed the perfect idea, as it would allow them to enjoy every moment of it.
Matthew is an advertising and editorial photographer in Los Angeles and the couple met at a creative networking event that Matthew hosted, as Jessica is a stylist. Their careers matched perfectly and they have now started their own workspace in downtown Los Angeles.
Their bohemian-themed Santorini elopement was an eclectic mix of natural, rustic and vintage details and was planned to perfection by the creative team of The Lavish Affairs. Jessica’s ethereal wedding dress by Dreamers and Lovers could not but complement the overall concept. Of course she was elegance personified, but it is the serenity on her face that steals the show. In the meantime, Mathew, classy and stylish, wore a deep blue suit matching the blue skies and the pristine waters of the sea.
